Mathematics is essence of everyone’s life and needs proper guidance and mentorship to make it easy. Kids learn faster and better with practical approach, appropriate to their knowledge level. If mathematical foundation is put strongly in kids at a very early age, then they will love and embrace it forever. 

If mathematics is taught appropriately at early childhood and elementary levels, all children can fall in love with it and develop the required proficiency. In our education system, Math taught in early childhood is considered to be just arithmetic and numbers. Kids struggle with arithmetic. Real mathematical concepts get introduced by the time they reach Std. 5th/6th. Unfortunately, by then, the damage is done and kids already have developed an intrinsic fear of Math. It then starts to become a very difficult subject. The fear phobia is a result caused more due to lack of guidance and adequate teaching techniques, than due to most children’s intellectual inadequacy.

Therefore, the most relevant time to invest in your child is from Std.1st to 5th. This goes a long way to prepare your child from future stress, pressure and most importantly gets rid of the fear of Math. This preparation is best done in an inclusive and enjoyable environment, appropriate to create the passion and love for Math and ignite the spark to learn.
