The birth of Sparkyo goes back to 2016...

 

It was MATH that caught our eyes. Math is such a beautiful subject which can be explored in every aspect of life and can be very interesting. On the contrary and sadly though, kids struggle and develop a fear for Math. The problem starts in early childhood with a generic opinion that Math is just numbers and arithmetic. These kids suffer in their higher classes, where real mathematical concepts are introduced, and they start looking for solutions (tuitions, online lessons, etc.). The damage, unfortunately, has long been done.

 

That is where we found the gap and created the bridge. We applied experiential learning with activities, projects, peer-based learning and most importantly in fun-driven environment fueled by growth mindset. We introduced challenging, beautiful and immersive projects on every concept of Math from early childhood. Kids started performing better in school and getting over their fear. We then introduced competitive mindset with dedicated focus on Olympiads and kids responded with many medals. When concepts are clear and strong, any exam or challenge can be won!!

With the success in Math, we realized that Science is learnt by kids, mostly by memorizing and rote. Science is actually not a subject, it is everywhere, in everything, signifying that there is no end to learning. The concepts of science can be better understood by experimentation and connecting the dots. That is how we started our science classes with a bang (international rank in Science Olympiad in the very 1st year)

 

The first step was taken with the launch of FUN WITH MATH curriculum in 2016, followed by CURIOUS WITH SCIENCE in 2019, which has helped verify our concept, idea, purpose and impact.

 

Indian education mostly still follows such methodical and rote teaching practices. Global curriculum indicates a strong need to build upon the concepts and focus on active learning. The gap is seemingly clear. At same time, in nuclear families and big cities, the childhood memories with friends, play and fun seems to be diminishing with time. The new digital age with a plethora of gadgets, games and distractions aggravates the situation further.

 

This triggered us to think on the possibilities of creating learning experiences which are fun based, provide clarity on concepts through active learning and develop the skills needed for today's digital age.

Proudly, we now launch PURPOSE WITH DIGITAL, our signature Digital Program focused on developing the various elements of Digital Literacy and 21st Century skills. We wish to create a fun filled, safe, cheerful and enjoyable learning environment, focusing and challenging on the fundamentals and preparing them for their futuristic competitive and digital age.
